In short, any country that hosts American troops is a legitimate target for the Iranians, in their opinion. The Russians and Chinese are already supporting the Iranians behind the scenes. That came out of the chat between Lavrov and Wang Yi.

Trump only excels at failure. That tells you right there how this war will end: not good for Trump personally, as the Iranians will try to blow him away and equally bad for the troops. We are in the first inning of Viet Nam, Iraq and Afghanistan.

Carney lives to be all things for all people. Why am I not surprised? Personally, I favour a no-bullseye on our back statement that will likely result in terrorism on Canadian soil. I may be wrong in a world of realpolitik, but protecting Canadians' lives has to come first in my book.
