Oscars-bound for our documentary The Campaign?

Trust me: I'm surprised by it all, too. But it's true. And here's the deets from my documentary partner in crime, Kari Hollend:
Please share and help us reach Academy voters!!
Our feature documentary, The Campaign, is now up for consideration in the Best Documentary Feature category at the 99th Academy Awards. I am asking my filmmaking community, doc film makers, please share and tag potential Academy voters.
We set out to make a film about one of the most consequential issues of our time: the machinery of modern information warfare, the manipulation of narratives, and the increasingly blurred lines between journalism, propaganda, and persuasion.
Using the Israel–Hamas war as our central lens, we made a deliberate choice to include voices that challenge one another, and at times, challenge our own perspectives.
We weren't interested in telling audiences what to think. We wanted to encourage them to question how they arrived at what they believe.
In an industry where storytelling has the power to shape public understanding, I believe there is enormous value in making room for complexity, disagreement, and difficult conversations.
To have this film available to the Academy's documentary community is a meaningful moment for us.
To Academy members, The Campaign will be available to watch on the Academy Screening Room tomorrow October 23.
At a time when the world feels increasingly divided, I hope this film contributes something we desperately need more of: curiosity, critical thinking, and dialogue.
