On the latest Toronto poll numbers

People asking me about pre-playoffs mayoral polling. Here's some useful facts, Toronto folks.

• In 2014, John Tory was way behind Olivia Chow in July - nine points, in a Forum poll. Chow still lost.

• In 2010, in the same time period, George Smitherman was ahead of Rob Ford. Ford won, Smitherman lost.

• In 2003, around now, David Miller was in fourth place. He won the election.

• It’s the pre-season. The playoffs are coming. The numbers are going to change.

• But one thing they show, clearly: Brad Bradford keeps moving up. Olivia Chow has hit a ceiling or is falling back.
