Dreary February morning bits and pieces

Someone said to me today that Epstein was bumped off before he could spill. Sure, I said. So?
That's extremely unlikely to happen with the guy who was arrested today, said this person. Which should make Trump and his co-conspirators really, really nervous. Good point, said I.

Here's the Andrew formerly known as Prince, leaving the Aylsham police station after being charged with sharing UK government secrets with Epstein. Not a happy birthday, I take it.

**
Trump + Prince Andrew = 100% likelihood of attack on Iran

"He was never a prince."- Family of Virginia Giuffre
That is one of the most devastating five-word condemnations you are ever likely to hear.
**
Listening to BBC World. They are of course giving the arrest of Andrew Mountbatten massive coverage, but they are also expressing (understandable) pride that their legal system deals with the rich and powerful in a way that the United States never has and never will.
There's a porcine, orange-hued pedophile looking at his device this morning, reading the news about Prince Andrew being arrested, and quietly wondering what awaits him when he again becomes a private citizen.

I’m in your rearview mirror, Taylor Swift.

I always believed an MP should submit their desire to cross the floor to their constituents, first. But that'll never happen. So, here we are. My suggestions both parties:
To the Liberals: Submit it to the people. The floor-crossing might get the blessing of voters. You'll never know until you try.
On the Tory gnashing of teeth and rending of garments: I don't recall these lamentations on the day David Emerson unexpectedly showed up at Rideau Hall. Perhaps I somehow missed that. And look, Tories, I know you're upset. I know you think it's unethical. But - take it from a guy who worked for a three-term-majority Prime Minister - all that matters is winning. Winning, and nothing else. Liberals get that. Tories, increasingly, don't.

Looks like war is a possibility soon in the Middle East. Which, from my perspective, is the best time to head there as a writer - and which the Government of Israel has now approved me to do.
**
Jamil Jivani is an idiot. He’s the Nate Erskine-Smith of the Conservative Party: a teacup of “team” in an ocean of self-interested, self-destructive ambition.

Someone went after the media organization that publishes me. Here’s my PSA on the subject:
Chatham has a majority stake in Postmedia. I have never heard from them, even indirectly. I am probably the most intensely anti-Trump columnist in Canada, and my columns have never been censored by Postmedia, in any way, shape or form.
